Report: Alex Rodriguez’s Nephew Abducted, Held For Ransom

By Ryan Gaydos

Alex Rodriguez’s nephew was reportedly abducted and held for ransom Wednesday at a Manhattan hotel over a Lamborghini deal gone terribly wrong.

Norberto Susini, 29, met up with Lamin Vucetovic, 33, and Anthony Gilkes, 30, in Times Square to sell Vucetovic the high-priced Lamborghini, according to the New York Post. When the group got to the Marriott Marquis in Midtown, Vucetovic reportedly tried to back out of the deal.

Sources told the Post that Vucetovic demanded that Susini return a deposit that he put down on the luxury automobile. The pair then held Susini essentially hostage inside the hotel room and called Susini’s business partners to demand a $35,000 ransom, according to the newspaper.

The business partners called the police instead and Vucetovic and Gilkes were arrested early Thursday on kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment charges, police told the New York Post.

Susini, who has played baseball in the Dominican Winter League and the independent Atlantic League, was not hurt in the ordeal, according to NBC New York.
